Canopy Walk -
This is a 53 acre gem that borders the scenic Intracoastal Waterway. It is a perfect retreat for couples and ideal for family getaways and glorious memorable vacations. The community features a beautiful 0 entry pool area with a hot tub/spa. For the kids there is a wonderful water park play area with slide. It is conveniently located 5 minutes from I-95 and only 5 minutes to the beach.
Surrounding Area - Tennis is available at the Palm Coast Golf Resort. A seven mile nature trail winds through Palm Coast leading to the beautiful ocean. The new European Village with unique shops and restaurants is a great place to enjoy romantic time or fun with friends. The popular city of Daytona is a quick 25 minute drive south of Palm Coast and the oldest city in America, historic St. Augustine, is only 25 minutes north. And world famous Orlando is only 1.5 hours west. Day trips to Disney, Sea World and Universal Studios would be a nice adventure as well. Golf - Palm Harbor designed by Bill Amick has narrow, bending fairways that require accurate shot making. Palm Harbor is Palm Coast's original golf course. It is a course lined with beautiful oak trees and palms, with a yardage of 6572 and a par 72. There are many other golf courses in the area as well. Marineland - Take the kids or the kid in you to swim with the dolphins! The world's first "Oceanarium" is only a few miles north of Palm Coast on scenic Rt. 1. Visit the new 1.3 million gallon series of dolphin lagoons. The European Village - This is a very special, unique new village built in 2005. It is located next to Canopy Walk complete with boutiques, eateries, and restaurants just a few minutes leisurely stroll along the water. It features nighttime shows on it huge 3-way outdoor movie screen in the middle of the picturesque triangular village that transports you to Europe. It includes a natural food store for those of you that may be on a special diet. Fishing - Try your luck or hone your skills with bountiful fresh and salt water fishing as fish are abundant in sunny Palm Coast. Washington Oaks State Park - This is a beautiful 400 acre natural park nestled in old oaks between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Coast. Highly recommended! Princess Place Preserve - This is a 1,435 acre park that offers nature trails, horseback riding trails, lovely picnic areas, campgrounds, fishing, and guided tours of the oldest homestead in Flagler County dating circa 1887. Bings Landing - Located in an area known as The Hammock this represents a portion of Jose Hernadez'ssecond plantation. It is believed to have been his militia headquarters during the Seminole Indian War. Visitors can use the playground and boat launch as well as picnic and fish along the Matanzas River. Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park - Visitors to the ruins of the sugar mill can enjoy a scenic walk to an interpretive center that tells of the plantation's history. |
